Curriculum

A well-crafted curriculum serves as a reference to ensure that you’re on the right track. Its components are designed to develop concepts, from a basic level to increasingly complex topics or skills.

It’s important to remember that a curriculum is not isolated for a single school year. Rather, it’s connected to the curriculum for every other grade. Students make progress from year to year. By following the curriculum with our students, we’re preparing them to continue on their journey every year , in a more logical and organized manner.

While learning how to write important sight words and read basic texts in grade 1st, in the next grade, students may be writing longer pieces in the form of short stories and reading more independently with lengthier texts.

While adding and subtracting are the crucial skills to learn in the first few years of school, multiplication, division, and eventually, algebra and calculus build upon their foundations.

Progress is essential and best curriculum allows this sequential learning to take place.

At ISSM, The goals for each subject aren’t just for students — they’re also for teachers. We have goals set out in the curriculum for what we need to teach in a given year, and our students have goals for what they need to learn.

Beyond creating goals between teachers and students, our curriculum also standardizes the learning goals for an entire school and provides a clear path for students to progress from one grade to another. Students must meet certain core competencies before moving on to advanced subjects. With such a standardized curriculum in place, teachers have a track of learning objectives and learning outcomes to coordinate and to ensure that their students are on track.

From the academic year 2020-21 we collaborated with LEAD curriculum provider. With LEAD’s result oriented learning system, measuring a child’s progress in every subject is now simple and effective.

With LEAD’s ‘LEARN WELL,THINK DEEP, DO GOOD,BE A LEADER’ mantra, Our students have robust understanding of all subjects. A complete transformation in the way teaching learning takes place has been brought about by using innovative practices.

Saturdays are used in a productive way by the students while learning many life skills such as marketing, leadership, craftsmanship, entrepreneurship by arranging various live events and activities. These events are solely arranged, managed, manipulated by the students alone serving as a milestone for our school.

The integrated education system along with modern technology (DIGICLASSES) is what we are offering to all the students.
